Proprietor of WS Trimming & Upholstery Ltd, Wendy Sheppard learned her trade in the RAF as a seamstress, upholsterer and paint sprayer. Wendy also worked on parachutes and paragliders for the RAF and sport paragliding fraternity, a skill that was later put to use as sail-maker in the sail loft of the largest CAA-approved manufacturer of microlight aircraft and hang gliders. Leaving the RAF she worked for a leading microlight aircraft manufacturer for many years, where she went on to develop her role eventually managing a team of 5 sail-makers. Wendy is highly experienced in the manufacture of microlight aircraft sails, parachutes, airframes and composite airframe parts as well as her upholstery skills. She also spent many years in supervision and management of aircraft manufacturing units. Wendy now operates independantly as WS Trimming & Upholstery Ltd, providing the same level of skill and detail to a wide range of projects. Projects ranging from as small as one motorcycle seat to a whole aircraft passenger cabin consisting of 8 seats and all panelling!
